This morning Wyatt woke up next to me like he does lots of mornings. He crawled into our bed sometime between 4 and 6 a.m. I immediately knew this morning was a special morning and snuggled him in a little tighter. Our ritual is for me to say "good morning Wyatt" and he says, "good morning mama". Then I respond with "no-ooooo, good morning to YOU", and he answers back with "Nooooo....good morning to YOU." At some point he smiles so big I just want to eat him up with a spoon.
This extra special morning I asked him if he wanted cupcakes for breakfast.
"Nooooo."
"Do you want cake for breakfast?"
"Noooooo."
"Do you want special pancakes with chocolate chips for breakfast?"
"Nooooo."
"Wyatt, what DO you want for breakfast?"
"Amburgers". (hamburgers)
So, this morning we ate hamburgers with ca-shup (katsup) for breakfast and thought of applicable W words while we ate. Wonderful Wyatt, wagon rides, wiggles, washing hands, wish, and wrestling..although there was some debate as to whether W-R-E-S-T-L-E was a W word or an R word.
Tomorrow is the small celebration with just a few friends over for dinner....hopefully some more hamburgers out on the grill, some handmade gifts from two adoring big brothers, a cake (still not decided), one sock elephant and lots of hugs and kisses.
Happy Birthday my love! My sweet smooshy love. Thanks again for choosing me to be your mama.
