The past few days I find myself in a funk. I am growing more and more frustrated that the house isn't being shown much. Not being shown while I continue to struggle to keep the white tile floors sparkling, the boys toys picked up and my craft area tidy. And don't even get me started on the freezing cold weather we have had. What the heck? The day before Easter it was snowing in Virginia, Texas and Wisconsin simultaneously. When does that ever happen, I ask you?
What is the condition where your moods are directly tied to how much sun you are exposed to? Yes, well, whatever it is, I am convinced I have it. Four days of cloudy, cold weather and I am not a happy camper.
But today the sun is shining again and we have been outside swinging. So, I am choosing to focus on the positive things around me. I have a tiny tea rose planted in a bunny planter in my kitchen and it has one new pretty little bloom. Hey, I will take anything I can these days...no matter how small.

Remember this post about my first quilt back in November? Well, the sweet babe is now several months old and I need to finish her quilt before we visit in May. So, Sergio took the boys to see Meet the Robinson's on Sunday and I was able to make some serious headway on it. (Yes, he is a very brave man...three boys under the age of 5, alone.) The quilt has a very DS look to it. I love how simple her quilt patterns are and thought this would be a good first for me. The piecing is done for the top and I have a few little finishing touches to get to with the embroidery and then the top is finished. I don't think I have the patience to do lots of hand quilting, so I may just to a little tack job like my mother used to do. I promise to post photos when it is completely finished.
A little retail therapy is always a good pick-me-up as well. A new necklace from Mood Swing Studio....I am not a big jewelry girl. I have few pieces that I really love and I pair them with everything from jeans to ... well jeans. I have been drooling over her photos at flickr and decided on one that I really, really loved. There is an equally happy photo on the reverse side. Now, I just need some fun Springy shoes and I should be set. Anyone have any that they are really loving? Please share!
Oh, and did you see the new header for the blog? That photo makes me happy as well.

Thank you friends and cross your fingers for us that the house shows (and sells) and that the sun continues to shine here.
(Man, I just re-read the entire post and have realized I am a big whiner. There are many more important things to worry about than the weather, finishing quilts and houses selling. Someone slap me into reality, please.)
