First and foremost, I have so show you the wonderful cotton yarn that Erin, from House on Hill Road sent me. The selection of colors she sent are so wonderful, they look like candy. Yummy! She had seen my barter post and offered some of her cotton yarn stash. And she didn't ask for any of my items up for barter in return. Erin...you know I have your address now and I am formulating a reciprocation package as we speak. You are too kind, thank you.
And somewhat unrelated, as I was growing up I got used to people spelling my name wrong as well as comments like "I thought Eren was a boy's name". And I was equally used to replying, "Well, my grandfather was A-A-R-O-N, but I am E-R-E-N, and I am a girl. Nice to meet you." I did not know a single other Eren until college. But I have noticed several talented Erins in the crafty blogging world. First was this Erin and her amazing patchwork. And have you met this Erin? Her kids were cracking me up last week with a tie dye paper project gone wrong. And then of course the previously mentioned Erin who is knitting some beautiful and colorful hats for her girls while waiting in the carpool line. And finally, another Eren. An extremely talented illustrator. I love her deep space detergent piece.
I have also been wanting to do a little self portrait for quite some time. And seeing several that I have really loved, I have decided to reluctantly dive in. So, here is my first self portrait.
Hi, my name is Eren...spelled E-R-E-N. And I am for sure a girl.
*please feel free to add other Eren(Erins) to the list in the comments if you like, I know there are others.*
