The past couple of days we've all seemed to have sinus, cold, stuffy nose type issues. Last year we were sick off and on almost all winter, so Im planning a preventative sneak attack this year. So far it is working pretty well. Lots and lots of soup. Making soup puts good stuff in our bellies, adds needed vitamins for our immune systems and adds moisture to the air in the house during the process.
My special recipe is called "whatever is in the fridge and needs to be used up". This time it was zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, celery, parsley, turkey from the freezer (from Thanksgiving) a little chicken stock (from a previous baked chicken) also from the freezer. Wala! Instant sickie preventer...fingers crossed.
